Little Doctors in Action: A Health Discovery Day at Borrowdale Academy International School Junior
At Borrowdale Academy International School Junior, learning goes beyond the classroom—it’s about sparking imagination and building real-world understanding. Recently, our young learners stepped into the world of medicine during a vibrant and educational Doctors and Health Day.
Dressed for the Role
The highlight of the day? Our students arrived dressed as doctors, nurses, and healthcare heroes. With lab coats, scrubs, stethoscopes, and surgical caps, they looked the part and embraced their roles with excitement and pride. The outdoor photo session captured their enthusiasm—ten bright young minds standing tall, ready to care and cure.
Learning Through Play
Through guided activities and role-play, learners explored:
The tools doctors use and how they help people feel better
How to check heartbeats and pretend to give injections (with toy kits)
The importance of kindness and calm when helping someone who’s unwell
Healthy Habits Matter
The day also focused on everyday wellness. Learners discussed:
Eating fruits and vegetables for strong bodies
Washing hands to keep germs away
Getting plenty of sleep and exercise to stay energized
Reflections and Aspirations
As the day wrapped up, students shared what they learned and who they want to be when they grow up. Many proudly said, “I want to be a doctor”—a testament to how powerful experiential learning can be.
The photo from the day now hangs proudly on our notice board, reminding us that the future is in good hands—hands that are curious, caring, and full of potential.
At Borrowdale Academy International School Junior, we don’t just teach—we inspire.
